The Department of Telugu was started in the year 1976, with Telugu being offered as second language (Part I: Language) for all undergraduate programmes.


The Spotlight
  • The language is promoted through seminars and exhibitions

  • Basic training in the language is offered as a non-major elective

  • A Certificate Course in Telugu is offered and can be taken up even by students who have no knowledge in the language
